Brian Burres, who knew?  Absolutely dominant in this game, striking out 4 and allowing just 3 hits in 7 IP.  I kept flipping between the Penguins and Pirates games, and it seemed like every time I went back to the Pirates game, the lead had increased.  Pirates sweep a team that had just come off its own sweep.  Seems like the starting pitching has gotten on track, and the bats are starting to wake up again.  The bullpen, as mentioned previously, is one of the best that the Pirates have had in many years so far.  Keep it up, boys.

GAME.

Miscellaneous shit

Andy LaRoche scored 3 runs on 3 walks.

Lastings Milledge hit a long double, which he thought was a home run (and would have been a grand slam).  Unfortunately, it bounced off the wall and he was tagged out slowly jogging from 2nd to 3rd.

Randy Wells, who had previously been one of the Cubs best pitchers, was turned inside out, giving up 7 runs in just 2 innings.

Three Buccos had 2 hits: GFJ, Cutch, and Clutch.
