Pouring It On. BUCS WIN.

This game was a relief after all of the close games the Pirates have played against the Nats this year. Kevin Correia had 8 runs to work with after only recording 3 outs, and he easily cruised to a Win thanks to some serious offensive output by the bats (16 hits!). 5 players for the Pirates had multiple hits: Alex Presley (2 for 6), Chase d'Arnaud (2 for 6), Andrew McCutchen (3 for 5), Neil Walker (3 for 5), and Lyle Overbay (3 for 4). Good to go home on a winning note, as the Bucs have notched yet another winning road trip and sit 3 games over on the road. Next up are some home games against the 2010 Pirates-imitating Astros and the heavily struggling Cubs. These next series are extremely winnable for the Bucs, and sweeps are not out of the question. Things could be looking very good for the Buccos when the All-Star break comes next week.

Have to get a split against the Gnats. Holy hell, I get to watch a Sunday game! Didn't know until later yesterday, but with Ronny Cedeno on the DL with a concussion, Pedro Ciriaco has been called up again to do presumably nothing. Neil Walker is back starting at 2B after coming in in the late innings of game 2 yesterday.
