Recap: The Comeback. BUCS WIN

Pirates 0 2 0 1 0 0 0 5 X score-spacer 8 7 0 3

Honestly, I thought the Pirates had little to no chance to even tie the game by the 8th inning. The offense wasn't there, the D-backs pitcher was dominating, and the team was running out of innings. But then Garrett Jones got a leadoff double. Tabata followed it up with another double which got the Bucs within one. A few plays later, the bases were suddenly loaded for Lyle Overbay with no outs. In probably his biggest hit as a Pirate, he hit a bases clearing double to put the Bucs ahead. Joel Hanrahan was super efficient in the 9th, and the Bucs had pulled off an amazing comeback after being down 5-3. It might not sound like a huge comeback, but until that 8th inning, the Bucs had only managed to put up 3 hits on the board and the D-backs were hitting all over the place, including out of the yard 3 times. A great win, to be sure.
