It's officially June, the traditional time during the past 18 years in which the Pirates are eliminated from any hope of contending. Time will tell whether this team can hold out or not. The 2008 season, which has been mirroring the 2011 Pirates season fairly closely so far, predicts a loss. Kevin Correia may have something to say about that. He goes for his MLB-leading 8th win tonight. Former Pirate Ronny Paulino gets the nod at catcher for the Mets. His bobblehead (gained on a day when he didn't even play, no less) and I will be rooting against him.

Weather Forecast

Mostly Cloudy, 80°; Wind SSW 15 mph, Precip 10%
