You're not going to win many games when you give up 6 runs. The Pirates did, and it burned them. Mike Crotta, who in his previous outings had looked solid, was left in for too long in the 7th. He gave up the tying run on a single and then he walked in the winning run. That's on CH13 for leaving him in too long. In hindsight, he should have been pulled after giving up the 1st run. Oh well, it's still just one game. The Pirates are now on a losing streak, however, and they need to cut that off immediately against the Brewers. Remember that it was the Brewers who last year pushed the Pirates under .500 at the beginning of a 7 game losing streak from April 20-26.

J-Mac struggled early, but recovered nicely. By the 7th inning, he was looking more like he did at the end of last season. Unfortunately, he only ended up with a no-decision for his effort. Daniel McCutchen looking strong since he was called up. Lyle Overbay had a double. Jose Tabata on a 10-game hitting streak. Unreal. Bring on the Beers.
