Pedro had a chance to make a diving stop like he did in the last game, but he missed it by only a few inches and it rolled into left, allowing 3 runs to score. If he makes that grab, we're probably looking at a 4-3 Pirates win today. Whatever, I said at the beginning of this series that the Pirates need to get at least a split, and they have a chance to do that today.

Charlie Morton was decent, going 7 innings with only 3 runs allowed (2 earned). His walk count of 5 is very high though and he needs to get that under control or it will be trouble in the future. He had a no-decision in this game.

Tabata has a hit in every game this season. He leads the majors in longest streak. He got his second homer in as many games. Doumit was 2 for 3 and also hit a homer as well as a double. Lyle Overbay doubled, while Matt Diaz had a pair of singles after coming in for Garrett Jones.
