Remember those bad, ugly losses I mentioned in yesterday's recap? This was one of them. Paul Maholm's great scoreless 6.2 innings was not the story of this game, it was the bullpen's utter collapse in the 8th inning. Now anyone can have a bad inning, but it's on CH13 to recognize when Evan Meek is having one of the worst games of his career. The Bucs will try to regroup tomorrow and win the series against the Cubs.

The Bucs made the most of little offense. A Neil Walker double and a Garrett Jones bomb were the highlights. 10 strikeouts by the Bucco bats. Conversely, the Cubs struck out 3 times. Ryan Doumit returned to form in this game.

Whatever, move on to tomorrow.
