I realize this is late; the holiday threw off my normal routine. The Bucs were down 1-0 and 3-1, but fought back both times to tie the game back up. The finally took the lead for good in the 5th when Neil Walker hit his 55th RBI of the season to score Chase d'Arnaud from 3rd. Alex Presley added some insurance in the 6th with an RBI triple. Elvis has really made a case for his staying in Pittsburgh once some guys come back from injury, and unless he has a major slump, I don't see any way to deny him that opportunity. The Presley RBI turned out to be unnecessary, as Hammertime did his thing in the 9th and got the Astros out 1-2-3 for his 25th Save of the season. Paul Maholm picked up the W after going 6.0 IP and allowing 5 H, 3 R/1 ER, 3 BB, 0 HR, and striking out 3.

VFPH's 3 Stars of the Game

  1. PIT Alex Presley, LF: 3 for 4, 1 RBI, 1 BB, triple
  2. PIT Paul Maholm, SP: 6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, W (5-9)
  3. PIT Chase d'Arnaud, SS: 2 for 5, 2 R, double
Play of the Game: Alex Presley's RBI triple in the 6th
