Great win. The Bucs captured their 5th road series win of the year, already surpassing their mark of 4 last year in just 5 weeks of baseball. They have 11 wins on the road this year, only 6 less than their total all of last year. A big part of that road dominance has been Kevin Correia, who is a perfect 5-0 on the road this year. Speaking of Correia, here's a picture we haven't seen about a Pirate pitcher in a long, long time:

Those are some great names to be associated with, and Correia should be proud of what he has accomplished so far this year. Keep it up.

As for the offense, it still seems to be scoring runs early and only in one or two innings, but it got the job done today and quite possibly the best bullpen in the NL got the job done for them again. Ryan Doumit hit probably his only Grand Slam of 2011 (based on his last few seasons of output), and it was all the Bucs would need to down the Pads, who are now an NL-worst 12-19. Doumit and Diaz both had 2 hits; Diaz had a double and Doumit had the aforementioned slam. Next up is the Astros in PNC. Hopefully the Pirates play better against the Astros than they did last year.
