What a game for Neil Walker. The Pittsburgh Kid continues to impress as he hit a career-high 5 RBIs in this game, including a monster 3-run dinger in the 8th inning to give the Bucs a 10-1 lead. Jeff Karstens was solid as usual, but was pulled from the on-deck circle in the bottom of the 6th when a big opportunity to score some runs presented itself. The Bucs did not fail to capitalize this time. Matt Diaz, Garrett Jones, and Neil Walker combined to drive in 6 runs in the inning. After that, D-Cutch, Resop, and Jose Ascanio kept the Tigers off the board for the rest of the game, allowing just 4 more hits and striking out 3. The Bucco pitching corps did not allow a single walk all game. McCutchen made his 9425th diving insanity catch of the season.
