Almost. Bucs LOSE

R H E LOB
4 8 0 7
2 6 0 3

Once again the Pirates leave their pitcher hanging with a decent outing that might have gotten a win, if only they had more offense. Once again Doumit was in Right Field. God only knows why. No score through 5 innings, but a 3-run blast in the 6th did the Buccos in. That's loss #81, the next one is the clincher.

Paul Maholm went 5.2 IP, with 8 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 Ks, and 1 HR. The bullpen didn't allow a single hit, although Wil Ledezma did allow a walk. Dan McCutchen only had to throw 9 pitches in his inning of work.

Offense was weak, but Argenis Diaz had a nice game, going 2 for 3 with an RBI and a double. Chris Snyder also had a double, while Cutch hit his 12th home run of the season, a solo shot in the 9th.
