What a debut for Aaron Thompson. His first strikeout in his major league debut came against Prince Fatass. He only was allowed to go 4.1 innings, but he looked strong in those innings. Jason Grilli came on in relief after a jam situation in the 5th had runners at 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out, and got the strikeout of Sunglasses at Night and a grounder to 2nd to end the Brewers' only real threat of the game. Later, it was Hammertime, where a Lloyd Braund single and Prince Fatass walk were not enough for the Beers, as Joel mowed down the next 3 batters to strike out the side. Always great to beat the Brewers, and I'll take a split against them any day after so many sweeps. Next up is the Cards in Busch Stadium.
