Recap: Finding Ways to Lose. BUCS SWEPT.

Getting swept sucks. Getting swept at home is even worse. Getting swept at home by the Cubs is just plain heartbreaking. This team was in first place 10 days ago. Now it looks like they won't even be able to post a .500 record and the 18 year streak will continue. James McDonald did everything he could to give the Pirates a win, including a 3 RBI double in the 4th, and going 7 innings, but the bullpen let him down. The bullpen, once our strongest asset, now can't hold a lead at all. I hate to say it, but the Pirates are slipping quickly back into "Same Old Pirates" territory. And with the Giants, Brewers, and Cards on deck after the Padres series, the future doesn't look too bright for our Buccos.
